Experience
Dave began training with a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sidmouth twelve years ago, commencing his studies for the Association of Accounting Technician qualification.
After a number of years with the Sidmouth firm, Dave moved to work in Exeter City for the largest independent Chartered Accountants in Devon. While at this firm Dave excelled in his studies, achieving first time exam passes in all of the exams and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004.
During his career he has gained a great deal of experience advising owner managed businesses and limited companies in the South West. Dave has worked with firms of Solicitors, Doctors, Dentists, Surveyors, Hotels, Property Developers, Farmers, IT Consultants, to name just a few.
When Dave is not busy advising clients Dave is a keen sportsman regularly playing football and squash, and is the proud father of two children.
Nicholas Walker BSc (Hons) ACA DChA
Qualifications ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting.
Chartered Accountant.
Experience
After reading Chemistry and Law at the University of Exeter, Nicholas trained as a Chartered Accountant with a large firm of Chartered Accountants in Cheltenham.
In addition to passing all of the exams first time, Nicholas was awarded ICAEW prizes in three of the subjects, acknowledging outstanding performance in these highly competitive global examinations. Nicholas qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004.
During his career Nicholas has worked with clients from a wide range of businesses, including Solicitors, Vets, Farmers, Property developers and IT consultants. Nicholas has also carried out audits for medium sized limited companies and has advised on business assurance and internal controls.
In recent years Nicholas has developed specialist knowledge of Charity accounting and tax, which has been recognised by the award of the ICAEW Charity accounting diploma.
Nicholas enjoys spending his spare time travelling with his wife. He recently completed a trip to China where he had the opportunity to try out his Mandarin Chinese, which he has been studying for the past two years.
